About Dr. Kaitlyn Owens ND

I believe that the body has an incredible ability to heal itself when given the right tools. Rather than only treating symptoms, naturopathic medicine focuses on uncovering the root cause of imbalance and support the body’s natural healing processes.

Using a personalized approach that includes functional lab testing, nutrition, lifestyle counselling, acupuncture, bioidentical hormones, tailored supplementation, physical medicine and vitamin injections, I help you guide your body back to health.

My passion lies in metabolic and hormonal health- which are at the core of overall wellbeing, influencing everything from energy levels and mood, to weight, digestion and long-term disease prevention.

Through a root-cause approach, I help identify and address imbalances that may be affecting your metabolism and hormones, including:

  • Blood sugar dysregulation & insulin resistance: a key driver of weight gain, fatigue and cravings.

  • Thyroid imbalances: which affect metabolism, mood, energy and more.

  • Adrenal health: chronic stress and dyresgulated cortsiol affects our weight, mood, sleep and overall inflammatory status.

  • Sex hormones: supporting menstrual health, fertility, perimenopause and menopause.

  • Gut health: essential for proper hormone health and metabolic balance.

My goal is to provide education, guidance and individualized care to help you better understand your body and support your long-term health.

In good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).

Education

I graduated with a BSc Honours in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Guelph. During my time there, I was a research student at the Human Nutraceuticals Research Unit, where I became passionate about the interconnectedness of metabolism and hormonal health.

I then completed my 4-years at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, where I obtained my Doctor of Naturopathy degree. During my clinical training, I was selected to be part of the Sports Medicine focus shift where I received additional training in injury management, nutrition for athletes, trigger point acupuncture and physical medicine. I completed a one-year internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic.
